LTC (Retired) Kevin Sickinger serves as the Commandant of Cadets at Benedictine High School. He graduated from Benedictine in 1981 and earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from University of Richmond.

After graduation from the University of Richmond, LTC Sickinger enlisted in the Army and was selected to attend Officer Candidate School. In 1988, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and served 23 years in the Army as a Military Police Officer and Psychological Operations Officer. During those 23 years, LTC Sickinger was stationed in Korea, Germany, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, and numerous installations in the continental United States. Throughout his career, LTC Sickinger was selected to command at all levels ranging from platoon to battalion, including command of a Joint Task Force in Afghanistan. His last assignment in the Army was the position of Professor of Military Science at University of North Dakota. After serving four years at University of North Dakota, he retired from the Army and returned to his Alma Mater to become the Commandant of Cadets.
During his military career LTC Sickinger has received the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star. His schooling includes the Army Command and General Staff College, Airborne and Jumpmaster School. He also earned his Master of Science degree in International Relations from Troy University in 1995 and has continued his education working towards a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice at University of North Dakota. He and his wife Christy have three children and one grandson and reside in Midlothian.
