Benedictine's "sister" school, Saint Gertrude's, is just down the road at 3215 Stuart Ave.

Each senior Sponsoring Officer from the Benedictine’s Corps of Cadets chooses one Saint Gertrude student from the senior or junior class to be his sponsor at special corps events such as Sponsors Day, Sponsors Ball, and several drill competitions in which the young men compete.

Stuart Avenue Players

Many cadets show off their thespian skills by participating in the Saint Gertrude/Benedictine Drama Club. This organization produces several plays in the course of the year.

Robotics Club

This Benedictine Robotics Club encourages Saint Gertrude students to join and participate on the Robotics team and in competitions.

During Homecoming weekend Benedictine plays a homecoming football game at their home field. A vote is held at Benedictine College Preparatory to choose Senior, Junior, Sophomore and Freshmen princesses from the Saint Gertrude nominees. A senior princess is crowned queen during half time. Many alum of both Benedictine and Saint Gertrude High School attend the game and have reunion events throughout the weekend.

Several formal and informal dances are held throughout the school year. All Saint Gertrude and Benedictine students are welcome at dances at both schools.

Other combined efforts include service projects that students from both schools participate in together as well as informal activities planned by the school’s student leadership.
