In the beginning of March, the team was 23-6 and Ranked #1 in the VISAA Division 1 State Poll. The team was invited to the prestigious Alhambra Catholic Invitational. The tournament featured some of the top Catholic High School programs in the US and Canada. The tournament was held March 17th-20th in Cumberland, Md.  We congratulate Coach McAloon and the rest of the team for this great honor.

Varsity is 1-5 and the team has been moved up to Division 1.  This means they are playing the top teams in the state of Virginia.  The team is young, so it's a rebuilding year with sophomores and juniors.

The swim team had a great season. Congratulations to Christopher Toler, Ben Quay, Wyatt Haas, Travis Kerner, Sandy Wilson, Nick Haas and John Michael Montgomery for qualifying for the state tournament. At states the Cadets finished 11th, a great feat for such a small team. Sophomore, Travis Kerner, placed 6th in the 500M Freestyle and Senior Ben Quay placed 6th in the 100M Breaststroke and 8th in the 200M IM.

Congratulations to the wrestling squad and first year coach Ryan Hall. The team finished 14th at the state meet. Highlights of the season include a Dual Meet record of 11-7, 2nd place at the Massanutten Military Invitational, a 7th at the Liberty Christian Academy Invitational, and the teams first Conference Championship. Congratulations to Freshman Jordan Schmeer who finished 8th in the state at 103 lbs and was selected to the All-State team. Also on the All-State team were Soph Michael Logan at 152 lbs. And Junior John Paul Curtin at 119lbs. Both Logan and Curtin placed Fourth in the State and Represented Benedictine at the National Wrestling Tournament at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
