Parater Scholarship

In 2017, Benedictine College Prep introduced the Parater Middle-Class Scholarship Program. Named for 1917 Benedictine graduate Frank Parater who is being considered for sainthood, the Parater Scholarship is designed to help middle-class families realize the dream of seeing their sons become Benedictine men. It does so by covering $8,200 of tuition each year.

The scholarship has grown over the past three years.  The junior class, which experienced the first year of the program, has 10 Parater scholars.  The sophomore class has 15 and the freshman class numbers 16.  Next year, the school plans to keep up the pace and will keep doing so, maintaining a steady stream of middle-class students able to realize the benefits of the Benedictine experience.
