Parater Scholarship

In 2017, Benedictine College Prep introduced the Parater Middle-Class Scholarship Program. Named for 1917 Benedictine graduate Frank Parater who is being considered for sainthood, the Parater Scholarship is designed to help middle-class families realize the dream of seeing their sons become Benedictine men. It does so by covering $8,200 of tuition each year.

The scholarship funded 13 freshmen in its first year and will continue to do so for the remainder of the time students spend at Benedictine.  This year, the number of recipients is 12. Next year, the school plans to continue the pace and will keep doing so until a continuous stream of middle-class students realize the benefits of the Benedictine experience.
