Benedictine's proud Catholic tradition extends back over 100 years, to its founding by Benedictine (who else?) monks in 1911.
Today, however, our school helps develop men of conscience from many faiths. In fact, over 30% of our student body consists of young men who belong to faiths other than Roman Catholic. Whether Methodist or Jewish, Lutheran or Muslim, Catholic or Greek Orthodox, all of our students receive instruction on the morals, ethics and values that span all faiths.
We're not in the business of expanding Richmond's Catholic population via conversions. We ARE in the business of setting good examples, instilling responsible behavior and building strong building blocks of virtue irrespective of an individual's beliefs.
The Benedictine education tradition extends over a millennium and a half. We are proud to keep it going in the Richmond area.
