John Fogarty

Coach Fogarty came to Benedictine in January of 2007 after he and his family relocated to Richmond from New York City. Since arriving at Benedictine, Coach Fogarty has served as the Director of Athletics, Math Department Chair, teacher and coach.

Before coming to Richmond Coach Fogarty served in the Catholic High School Athletic Association of New York. After graduating from Cathedral College, where he was a four-year starter on the basketball team, he started teaching and coaching at Cathedral Prep Seminary, where he taught math and coached basketball and baseball. He soon became the Athletic Director, as well.

After 14 years in the high school seminary system he when on to be the Athletic Director of the Jesuit-run Regis High School. Currently Coach Fogarty teaches Algebra II and Pre-calculus. He is the Head Coach of the Golf Program and he is on Coach Lilly’s football staff where he coach’s the kickers.
