The varsity lacrosse team finished the season strong with a 12-11 victory over Trinity Episcopal on Tuesday, May 7 at Bobby Ross Stadium.This win leaves the Cadets with an overall record of 6-10, which is a huge improvement from last year's record of 1-11.
The Cadets started off slow, but they turned up the intensity in the second half. At one point in the game, the Cadets trailed the Titans 9-4.“We played very physical and we finished the game strong with a solid defense and quick offense,” said Kyle Joyce. “We finished off the season the right way, with a win.”
Key players for the Cadets included Miles Bunch, who scored five goals, Connor Robinson, who notched three goals, John Kuchta, who added three goals and Mitchell Hoag, who made one goal.
"I'm proud of the guys on my team," said Bunch."I'm glad I could be a part of it all, and I'm already excited for next season."The Big Green will graduate four seniors: Charlie Garbett, Henry Brielmaier, Hoag and Vaughan Harper.
The Cadets made great strides from last season and hope to keep the program going in the right direction.
