On Friday May 17, in the dining hall, the Art Department will host the art show from 6 to 8 p.m.
“It’ll be a great opportunity for Cadets to display their artwork,” said Mrs. Holland, who is one of the art teachers at Benedictine. “I hope everyone comes out to enjoy the show.”
The art show will consist of art from Cadets, and it will also include art work from Mrs. Scolaro's (a former Benedictine art teacher) adult night course taught at Benedictine. Every Cadet who takes an art class of some sort must enter art work in the show. They are not required to sell their work, but artwork will be available to buy if you attend the show.
Cadets take pride in their art work, as friendly competition has sprung around the school about who can sell their work for the most money. "I could sell my work for no less than one million dollars," said junior Jonah Lambert. "I've been called the Black Picasso, that's how good I am."
If you want to see the work of "Black Picasso," or the work of the rest of his fellow Cadets, be sure to attend the art show this Friday.
