This Friday, May 24, the Benedictine seniors will be graduating at the Sheppard Street Gym. The Graduation ceremony will start at 10 a.m..
The seniors’ graduation marks the end of their journey as Cadets. The graduation ceremony is the seniors’ last activity as high school student. The senior body’s last stop before college is graduation.
"I will miss this senior class," said Sophomore Will Kennon. "This senior class was full of surprises; the characters of the senior class brought a positive attitude every day."
The graduation ceremony will start with remarks from the administrators and the valedictorian (Bradford Dudley) and salutatorian (Oliver Sibal). During the ceremony the seniors also receive their high school diplomas.
In addition to the graduation ceremony, the seniors also have to attend a Baccalaureate Mass. The Baccalaureate Mass will be at the Benedictine Abbey Chapel on Thursday, May 23 at five p.m.. The Baccalaureate Mass will be the last Mass the senior class will celebrate together as Cadets.
Before the seniors have to graduate, however, they also have several activities to prepare for graduation. The seniors have a senior retreat on Wednesday, May 22.
To prepare for their graduation the seniors also have to attend a mandatory graduation ceremony practice. This graduation practice is going to take place on Wednesday, May 22 at three p.m.. During the graduation practice the seniors will go over all of the actions that will take place during the actual graduation ceremony.
