This week's athlete of the week is Jay Woolfolk.
Saturday's game was an extremely hyped-up game. Trinity versus Benedictine is a cross-town rivalry that has become very heated over the years. There was a lot of pressure riding on the game for both teams.
Woolfolk certainly didn't let the pressure of the big game affect his play. He generated five touchdowns, two in the air and three on the ground. He accumulated over 300 yards of total offense.
One of Woolfolk's touchdown runs was so great that it led to him being on ESPN's Sportscenter. He put Trinity's defense in a spin cycle, spinning and darting through them like they were absolutely nothing. In addition to Woolfolk's 54-yard run landing him on Sportscenter, it also resulted in a touchdown for the Cadets to extend their lead over the Titans.
Woolfolk helped the Cadets greatly in their 43-10 rout of Trinity. He stepped up to the plate big time in order to make sure that the Cadets destroyed their rival.
In addition to being a stellar quarterback, Woolfolk is also a star pitcher on the diamond. He is drawing significant interest from college scouts in both sports.
Woolfolk will be looking to continue his great play for the rest of the year for the Cadets, as they look to make another run in the State Tournament.
