The Senior and Freshman Cadets headed to Camp Brady Saunders on November 22, 2019 for the Orientation Finale.
Orientation Finale is an event where, “The seniors get on more chance to crush the freshmen,” said senior Cadet Brian Daughtry. “I will be attending Orientation Finale. I’ll make sure its a weekend the freshmen will never forget.”
The Finale took place from Friday November 22, through Sunday November 24. It is, "A test," said Cadet Tommy Griffith. "When a freshman completes this test, his has either passed or failed. When the test has been passed by a freshman, he then becomes a part of the brotherhood, a true Cadet."
Sophomore Cadet Michael Morrissey also participated in the Orientation Finale last year. "It was hard," said Morrissey. "I can't deny that. Although it was hard, I was doing it with my brothers and that's what got me through it."
Last year, the Orientation Finale for the 2018 school year was scheduled for the same weekend as the VISAA Division I Football State Championship. The freshmen on varsity had to skip the first day and a half of the Finale. The freshmen athletes then had the choice to go home once the game concluded, or to drive to Camp Brady Saunders for the remainder of the Finale. While most of the Cadets chose to go to the Finale, two Cadets decided not to go and were exempt from the Finale.
