Benedictine's varsity basketball team will vie with St. John Paul the Great this Friday at the lair of the Wolves.
Benedictine, currently 8-8, is hoping to bounce back after coming off three tough losses to Bullis, St. Christopher's and Trinity.
The Cadets have already once gone head to head against the Wolfpack this year in the Bullis tournament. St. John Paul the Great, currently 7-5, managed to squeeze out a victory past the Cadets in the Bullis tournament with a final score of 56-51. "We were in the game the whole time against them in the Bullis tournament," said Whit Williams '21. "We went down early and made a comeback late, but couldn't pull out with the win."
The Cadets, always hungry for a chance to redeem themselves, will get it this Friday, and with such a close score there is a lot of determination to get back at the Wolves. "We are looking to get some revenge on the court with them this Friday," said Williams. "Now that we have faced them and know how they play, I have full confidence in our ability to overcome them."
The Cadets have been focused on stepping up their game since their last time facing the Wolves. "We barely lost to them the first time, but they came out to play," said Lorenz Boykin '20. "I think we will get them back, especially with the hard work we have been putting into practice."
