Too Talented to Touch:  Benedictine's Talent Show is Coming Up
By: Michael Hiller '22

Benedictine is hosting its annual Winter Talent Show on Wednesday, February 19. The talent show is open to all Cadets to perform a variety of acts ranging from music acts to skits. The show is also open to all of the students from St. Gertrude who are open to joining.

"I know that all of the talent this year is just as talented as the ones last year," said Ms. Holland一the director of the talent show. "I think we might even have more acts from St. Gertrude than we had last year."

Auditions for the talent show were held Wednesday, January 29. The contestants for the Winter Talent Show that will appear are:

  • Sean McGranahan on the piano
  • Kia'a and Kayla Coley singing
  • Matthew Mick singing
  • Lauren Horan singing
  • Chloe Schneider singing
  • Schola 2020 (select members of the Benedictine choir) singing
  • Maggie Scott signing

Last year's talent show had performances by Cadets and Gators, who made the top five performances of the night. Oliver Sibal had one of the most memorable acts of the night when he serenaded the audience with his playing of the harp. The winner of the talent show last year, Maggie Scott (who is also returning this year to the stage), won the whole room over with her country singing and hopes to keep the title this year.
