The Thanksgiving holiday is a big time of year. It is the time you get to see family that you may not see, eat great food and watch some amazing football. Cadets have a special holiday treat in that they have Individual Drill the night before break. The break lasts from the announcement of the Individual Drill winner (Tuesday evening) until the following Monday.

“The Holidays are some of my favorite times of the year,” said senior Cadet Joseph Fox.

Thanksgiving is a holiday that wasn't celebrated much last year due, in large part to Covid-driven restrictions on gathering. This year, however, should be very exciting because people may travel again. "I visit my family every year in California," said Fox. "I couldn't last year because of Covid."

Thanksgiving is also a great time of year to eat wonderous food. Most people like turkey, ham, stuffing, mac 'n cheese and even green bean casserole. "My favorite food to eat is mac n cheese, my grandma is always warm and I am always excited to eat it," said junior Ryan Sellers.

There are also other special things that happen on Thanksgiving. These special events include The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the football games. The NFL games always have certain games like The Cowboys always play and The Lions always play. "I am really looking forward to The Cowboys game and The Parade" said Fox.

The long weekend is a very great time to travel, especially being in a pandemic last year. Being able to see family now is very important. "I usually don't travel but I am going to take advantage of the long weekend," said Mr Forster.

Thanksgiving is a great holiday. It is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family, watch great football games and eat some of the best food of the year, said Forster. "It's a great holiday,"
