On Saturday, January 8, the Benedictine Cadet wrestling team competed in the first annual East Coast Catholic Classic (ECCC). The Cadets were a part of 11 teams competing in the tournament including Delbarton School from Morristown, New Jersey-the number one ranked team in New Jersey and fourth in the nation, according to Rokfin.com.

The team as a whole had 11 pins over the course of the tourney. Dunham fell to Tyler Vazquez (Delbarton) by decision in the first-place match in the 132 weight class. Cox lost to Simon Ruiz (Delbarton) by fall. Foard succumbed to Coleman Nogle (Mount Saint Joseph) by fall.

The format for the tournament was a single bracket double elimination, across four mats spread across the hardwood of Coach Rut court.
