The fishing team is excited to be entering its spring season. They have their final qualifying tournament coming up on March 18, on Lake Gaston followed by the State Championship coming up sometime in April (at a to-be-determined location and date). The award-winning fishing team is also hosting a fundraising tournament on the James River on April 14.
"I am excited to be finally back into the fishing season, said senior and valued fishing team member James Marks ’18.One crew, consisting of Jake Schattner '18 and Ike Andrews '18, who brought home a State title last spring, has already qualified for States and are ready to repeat their win. Hopefully, the other Benedictine squads competing on Gaston will place in the top five and secure their place in the State Championship.
The team is also in full swing for their practices. "I am excited to be finally back into the fishing season, said senior and valued fishing team member James Marks '18. "Practices have been going well, but the fishing is still tough since the weather is just now starting to warm up. It will only be getting better now."
Wish the Cadets well as they pursue tight lines, citation fish and state-wide recognition.
