Bradford S. Dudley was named the valedictorian for the Class of '19, having earned the top spot in his class with a GPA of 4.52.
A four-year student at Benedictine, Bradford added to a demanding schedule by taking nine AP courses. His achievements were not limited to the classroom, as his exceptional leadership qualities earned Bradford the rank of lieutenant colonel, the highest in the Corps of Cadets.
In his valedictory, during graduation exercises, Bradford said, "The Class of 2019 brought a myriad of talents and gifts to Benedictine. And while it was God who bestowed upon us these talents, it as Old BC that molded and forged them, like steel between the hammer and the anvil.
Bradford also played baseball and rugby and participated in the school's Model General Assembly and Model Judiciary teams, as well as its color guard and Battle of the Brains team. A lifelong parishioner of Saint Benedict Catholic Church, Bradford is also a graduate of its parochial school. A winner of Benedictine's prestigious Ambrogi Scholarship, Bradford shall attend Bowdoin College in the fall.
"Today, we graduate from high school, and we leave Benedictine," said Bradford in closing. Yet our work, in the Spirit of Ol' BC is not done yet. It remains for us to go forward carrying the spirit of this place with us, and make our homes, our parishes and our nation better for our presence."
