McMurtrie-Reynolds Pavilion

Unveiled in the fall of 2020, the 65,000 sq. foot McMurtrie-Reynolds Pavilion is our most recent addition to our state-of-the-art athletic facilities and hosts all of our home basketball games and local tournaments on Rut Court, as well as many community events. From the outside of the facility, you are greeted with the magnificent Joseph ‘69 and Gene Swedish Memorial Bell Tower, whose bell was cast in 1856 by the foundry of Paul Revere III. Immediately upon entering, you’ll find the Ed Mugford Hall of Valor which honors alumni veterans from Benedictine and Saint Gertrude who so bravely fought for our nation. In addition, this incredible facility houses the following:
  • Carreras Family Auxiliary Gym
  • Gator/Cadet Shop
  • Frances-Clarke Hyman Skybox
  • Mike and Bevin Kehoe Conference Center
  • Nichols & Kuhn Hall of Fame
  • Smithfield Foods Cafe
  • Rodney and Carol Ganey Indoor Track

Frank H. Boehling Sr. Weight Room

The Frank H. Boehling Sr. Weight Room is one of the finest high school weight rooms in the state of Virginia and helps Cadets and Gators prepare for the highest level of competition and success. Under the supervision of the head strength and conditioning coach, this facility is home to team and individually focused workouts that are tailored to our student-athletes’ needs for improved strength, speed, flexibility, and injury prevention. This facility is also open to students who are not on a school sponsored athletic team but are focused on their fitness.

Hyman Bros. Field

The Hyman Bros. Field (recently renovated in 2023), home of the 4-time VISAA state baseball champions, gives the team an undeniable home-field advantage with its well-groomed fields and brand new batting cages. Located right behind the baseball field, the batting cages are outfitted with synthetic turf to allow for year-round training.

Wrestling Room

The wrestling room, located behind Benedictine’s school building, serves as the home practice facility for BCP’s state championship wrestling team. In 2022, this facility was expanded and upgraded to better reflect our championship caliber team. Home matches and tournaments are held in the McMurtrie-Reynolds Pavillion

Outdoor Athletic Center

The Outdoor Athletic Center encompasses 16 acres and is conveniently located off the Parham Road and I-95 interchange (Exit 83A), a short 20 minutes from campus. The 16 acres include two fields, a softball field, six tennis courts, and a walking path around the perimeter. While the majority of the OAC is used for Saint Gertrude athletics, many Benedictine teams use the facility for practices and is home to all Benedictine home tennis matches.

Nichols Field House

The Nichols Field House is where many Cadet victories have been celebrated. More importantly, it is where preparation for those victories has taken place. The field house includes locker rooms, showers, coaches' offices, an athletic training room, and equipment storage. It sits between the football and soccer fields to allow for easy access for all sports.
